Finding Inspiration in Sewing and Quilting

Finding Inspiration in Sewing and Quilting

Have you ever had one of those days where your mind is buzzing with ideas, but you can’t seem to settle on just one? Maybe it’s a quilt pattern you’ve been meaning to try, a fabric stash that’s calling your name, or a half-finished project waiting for your attention. If you’re anything like me, your creative mind is always running in a dozen different directions—especially when surrounded by beautiful fabrics and inspiring patterns!

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the projects that bring me the most joy. For March, I’ve been diving into all things green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. My current obsession? A green-themed quilt using a variety of Kaffe Fassett fabrics. The bold patterns and vibrant shades of emerald, lime, and forest green have been inspiring me to play with color in new ways.

But beyond quilting, I love hearing what’s on your mind, too! What projects are keeping you busy? Are you working with any new techniques, trying a fresh color palette, or finally tackling that UFO (unfinished object) that’s been sitting in the corner?

Sewing and quilting are such personal journeys, and sometimes, just talking about what’s on your mind can spark fresh inspiration. Whether it’s a fabric find, a creative roadblock, or an exciting new design idea, I’d love to hear what’s been filling your thoughts lately.

And as we stitch and create, let’s remember this encouragement:

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

No matter what’s on your mind, know that your creativity is a gift, and each stitch you sew is part of something beautiful. Keep creating, keep trusting, and keep sharing your journey!

Happy stitching,
